Nothing says “Buffalo football” quite like a folding table, a frosty beverage, and the unmistakable, mouth-watering aroma of Chiavetta’s chicken rolling through the parking lot. For decades, our legendary marinade has been a Western New York staple and the undisputed MVP of backyard tailgates.
But for the 2026/27 football season, you don’t need to fire up your own grill to get your fix. THE ICONIC BBQ CHICKEN PLATTER is officially at the new Highmark Stadium THIS SEASON!
We know Buffalo fans take their game day food seriously, so we’ve put together this quick Q&A guide to give you a first look at what you’ll be able to grab before kickoff and exactly where to find us.
Where exactly can I find Chiavetta’s at Highmark Stadium every gameday?
If you’re looking for us, just follow your nose—and the giant bison!
Catch us in the Outdoor Bud Light Marketplace on the Abbott Road side of the stadium. Specifically, our setup is located inside Security Gates D & E, right between Entrances 8 & 9.
Having trouble finding the Marketplace? Just look for the massive, brand-new buffalo statues— and head through security and make a left. We’ll be in the same spot every single gameday! If you find us grilling and ‘flipping the bird’, you’ll need to walk a little further to actually make your purchase and pick up your BBQ Platter.
While our famous BBQ is starting to make its way onto exclusive stadium suite menus and being tested out at select charge bars inside, the guaranteed way for the general public to get their fix is to catch us outside in the Outdoor Marketplace before you head through the stadium gates.
Did we mention that you don’t need a ticket to enter the marketplace?
So if you’re just coming for the experience outside the stadium, you can still enjoy a Chiavetta’s BBQ Platter.
Can I bring my Chiavetta’s inside the stadium?
Yes, you absolutely can! This is one of the best-kept secrets for Highmark Stadium food. You can easily purchase your meal from our setup in the Bud Light Marketplace and carry your food and drinks right through the gates to enjoy at your seat while watching warm-ups.
What time do you start (and stop) serving on game days?
We fire up the pits and start serving three hours before kickoff.
We keep the chicken flying off the grill right up until just after the game kicks off. Once the first quarter gets rolling, we wrap up our service. Make sure you swing by during your pre-game routine so you don’t miss out!
**times are subject to change throughout the season based on demand**
What’s on the menu? What’s on the Platter?
To keep the lines moving fast and make sure you get a complete, hearty tailgate meal before kickoff, we are serving one exclusive option: The Iconic BBQ Chicken Platter.
Because of stadium logistics, we don’t offer a la carte items—but trust us, you’re going to want the whole plate anyway. Every platter comes loaded with:
- A juicy ¼ Chiavetta’s BBQ Chicken
- Our signature homemade potato salad
- A sweet, crumbly cornbread muffin
- Chiavetta’s Salt & Vinegar Chips
You’re getting a plate full of authentic Buffalo flavor for just $21. Your tastebuds and your wallet will thank you for stopping by.
🔥 Wait, is it really your team cooking the chicken?
100% YES. We wouldn’t trust our famous chicken to just anyone!
If you want absolute authenticity, you’re getting it. The amazing people flipping the chicken, sweating over the hot open pits, mixing the homemade sides, and building your platters are actual Chiavetta’s team members. The awesome folks from Legends Global are simply there to handle the cash register and keep the line moving. When you eat with us at the stadium, you are getting the exact same world-class BBQ you’d get straight from our catering team.
Will you be there for every home game?
You bet. Rain, snow, sleet, or sunshine, we’ll be out there. We are serving for all pre-season and regular-season home games, and—football gods willing—we’ll be out there feeding the Mafia all the way through a deep post-season playoff run!
Ready to upgrade your tailgate? 🏈
Make us part of your Sunday ritual this season. Grab a friend (with or without tickets to the game), head to the Abbott Road side of the new stadium, and fuel up with Buffalo’s favorite BBQ before cheering on the home team. Let’s go Buffalo!
